Two sports halls side by side... Skien Arena and the multi-purpose hall with a climbing wall!
Skien arena and the multi-purpose hall are located side-by-side, providing great flexibility to parallel events. Other non-sporting events such as concerts and trade fairs can be facilitated with simple adjustments.
Skien Arena
A large hall with many possibilities. Skien Arena houses three handball courts with Conipor sports floors, and is the largest handball facility in Telemark. Herkules and Gjerpen play their home games here, with a large and enthusiastic home crowd backing them up!
Skien Arena covers 3.000 square meters and has an overall capacity reaching up to 5.000 people. There is a muiut-media cube in the roof and possibiliteis for broadcasting!
The multi-purpose hall is bright, inviting, and features a gymnastics pit and climbing wall. The hall is mostly used for gymnastics, indoor bandy, table tennis, bowls, basketball and climbing. The mulit-prpose hall covers 1.000 square meters and has parquet flooring.
If you like to climb, the hall offers both a large climbing wall and a seperate bouldering room. The climbing wall features several routes with varying degrees of difficulty. There are permanent top-roping fixtures on several routes. The wall is 15 meters high, 18 meters wide and has a 5,3 meter overhang. To climb this wall you must have atop roping card or lead card. We offer climbing courses for beginners, and climbing equipment can be rented from us on the spot!
Bouldering room
All climbing without ropes take place in the bouldering room. This provides excellent fine-motor training for children and offers an excellent warm-up and technique training opportunities for climbers. There are various types of climbing holds on the walls and ceiling.
Indoor ice rink
The indoor ice rink covers 4.000m2 and fetures two rinks, locker room and a cafe. The ice hockey rink is standard size with an adjacent stand for up to 900 persons. The hockey rink is used for training, games and tournaments.
Curling
The curling court measures 20 x 30 metres and is marked up with three curling training courts. The curling courts is ready for play all year round. For special events like birthdays, anniversaries, bachelor parties or an evening with your colleagues, many will see the beenfits of an active and fun team biulding experience like curling.
